Sally Cards Now Selling in Saugatuck, Michigan

While vacationing in Saugatuck this July, I was so happy to place an order of Sally Cards at GoodGoods, which is in the heart of the sweetest artsiest resort town of Saugatuck, Michigan!  GoodGoods is housed in what was once a Victorian Boarding House and is now completely restored and it has the coolest wrap around glass enclosed porch overlooking the harbor.  It is on this sweet little porch that you can find Sally cards spinning 'round and 'round.  If you're in Saugatuck, definitely check out GoodGoods (you'll love it) and while your at it buy a "Sally" card or two...

A Note About My Tree...

Here's a note back from Melanie about my tree!  Yeah!

Hi Judy,
Thank you so much for participating in our initiative and making your blog carbon neutral! Your tree will be planted this month by the Arbor Day Foundation. The scheduled start plant date was Monday, April 19 and the trees will be planted by a contracted crew. The roads are being plowed, all contracts solidified, and twelve shipments of 150,000 seedling each are being assembled. We thank you for the support!
There are still some trees looking for a sponsor. So if you know some people who have a blog or website, let them know and  we'll make their blogs carbon neutral too!

Best,
Melanie

My Blog is Carbon Neutral

One Tree for One Blog..... That's what the team at kauf-Da tells us and thanks to them my blog is  carbon neutral!  Here's the skinny....Nobody knows for sure how much carbon dioxide a particular tree can absorb as there are many different calculations for the saving potential of a tree, but according to a study by a Harvard University physicist's report, an average website causes about 8lbs of carbon dioxide emissions a year (mainly caused by the mainframes blogs are posted on plus servers and coolers) and one tree can absorb 11lbs of carbon dioxide per year.

The crew at kauf-Da is making it easy for everyone to have a carbon neutral blog by their impressive (and free) initiative called "Make It Green" where they will plant one tree for one blog.  How cool is that?  The trees will be planted in the Plumas National Forest in Northern California by the Arbor Day Foundation.  For more information about where the trees are planted, see the NEWS section of their site.  Why not sign up and make your blog carbon neutral by clicking here?

8 ounces = 3 pounds

Now I ask you, why is it that I can eat
a measley 8 ounces of chocolate and
gain 5 pounds????  Is that fair?
